Miss Cecilia de Angelis was a woman of reasonably tall stature. Her luscious silverish-gray locks gleamed under the light, reaching her waist with natural curls inherited from her late mother. Curtains matched the window, her irises were also gray, with eyelids a little slanted; often looking frigid and glazed. She carries herself in a ladylike manner, being raised as one, and her choice of attire was often described as simple yet dignified.

Cecilia was known as a rational, composed, and duty-bound woman. She much prefers to work behind the scene hence she chose to join the forensic team when she pledged her allegiance to the ROSANERA forces rather than the field squad. Our Lady is generally soft-spoken and polite, even toward people whom she might not fancy much—though she likes to insert subtle jabs at them within her words occasionally. She used to be more timid and meek when she was younger, but as she matured, she became stronger and more independent.Showing one’s genuine emotion equals exposing one’s vulnerability. Our Lady built her walls so high to defend her tormented self from the looming shadows of people who used her as a device to secure position and victory. She would most likely conceal her strong feelings behind a smile or a poker face; beneath her courteous demeanor, she is also somewhat skeptical and distrustful toward people she does not know personally. Due to her past sheltered upbringing, Cecilia strives to prove to others that she can do everything herself.

SALVATORE DE ANGELIS was a well-regarded politician, following his father's step as the first-born son. He resided with his two children, CECILIA and EZIO in their family mansion in New Rome; their mother has long passed, and Salvatore had to raise them himself.A daughter of an influential person in New Rome, Cecilia was raised to be a perfect lady. She was taught etiquette, history, politics, and music since she was only a young girl, other than the formal education she received from school. While showered with love and given freedom of her future, Cecilia never considered herself truly free. Her father rarely allowed her and Ezio to go outside without protection—they said that danger awaited wherever she and Ezio went. Moreover, their family has been in dispute with her uncle’s family; Salvatore’s younger brother, who opposed him stepping forward to be a politician, further restricted her from leaving the mansion unguarded. Even so, she never disobeyed her father, thinking it was her duty as an obedient daughter. When she was 13, her father’s friend, Lieutenant Felice Romano from the police department visited the mansion. He has a son whom she and her brother befriended, Alessandro—Sandro, as they called him. The three children spent their childhood playing together in the mansion, weaving sweet memories that she might or might not forget now.“You like him, don’t you, Cee?”
“Says who?”
“If you like him, will you neglect me?”
“You’re my brother, Silly. I will never stop caring for you.”
Everything began to crumble as our lady reached the age of 16. One night, she accidentally found out the dirty truth: that her father was able to rise into position in the parliament was not because of his hard work—he already had a seat reserved for him through corruption and nepotism. Everything that she knew was a lie. Naïve, how naïve—she should’ve known that this world wasn’t always pure like she always thought.“You will be betrothed to Lieutenant Romano’s son.”Another piece of news struck her like lightning the other day. When Salvatore called her to talk in private, it was the end for her.“You will be safe within a police family. His son is a perfect husband for you.” Lies. It’s to gather alliances and influence within the court of politics, she knew that. “…please understand, Cee. This is for your own good.”She realized she was a bird in a cage, a pawn to strengthen her father’s claim of position. Our lady wanted to refuse, yet what was expected of her? Rejection was never an option, she needed to play her role obediently. The only one she had left on her side was Ezio, her sweet, dearest brother—who was 14 then.“If you don’t want it, Cecilia, then I will not resume our betrothal.” Cecilia’s forever grateful to Alessandro for calling off the engagement, yet this decision stranded her relationship further with her father.
Her ordinary days collapsed a year later. While having a trip, their family villa was broken into by the mafias, thinking that Salvatore was there with the kids. There were only the servants and the two siblings at that time; for Salvatore could not attend due to business matters. That tragedy took the lives of several servants and most importantly Ezio, who died in her arms.Cecilia had lost the most important person she had left in this world. Those mafias... they took her brother away from her, and they might take others’ as well—she can't let this happen.“I will join the police,” she finally said to her father, hands clenched until her knuckles pale. It was the first ever time she rebelled against him. “And when I got in, I would leave the mansion. This is my decision, Papà, please don’t ever stop me.”Yet, our lady knew her physical capabilities were not as extraordinary as a field officer's. She had a keen interest in biology and chemistry and aimed to be on the forensic team. Cecilia left the mansion after finishing her education and applied to the police department; where a certain someone recommended her into a special division called LA ROSANERA, tasked to regulate and capture the mafias.Overcoming a series of assessments, Cecilia stood here as one of ROSANERA’s forensic analysts. As she tied her allegiance to the Black Rose, our lady pledged: She will not let the tragedy that once befalls her happen to anyone.
